Fixing frame for replacement windows

My house has these replacement windows which are recessed and not flush with the house. The wood is shot and I need to fix it to prevent mold etc and to make it look nice. Anyone have any experience with this?

It completely depends on the window design, if you don't know much about it, it may be worth getting a professional.

You would generally start by removing the sash beads to remove the window. Then again, it depends on the extent of the dry or wet rot. You may only need to replace the lippings.
