  • Do You Enjoy Watching Andre Ward Box?

    ...honest question

    first off, i'm inclined to root for Ward for a few reasons;

    1. he represented the USA in the Olympics and won gold
    2. he's a west coast fighter
    3. he seems like a humble guy

he's also a very skilled fighter...there are spots in Ward's fights where you can see him display great ring generalship, good footwork...good handspeed...a good control of his offensive arsenal

but it's just in spots...other times, its a jab then an underhook into a clinch...sometimes, its a jab and a headbutt then the underhook

an Andre Ward fight isn't exactly the perfect 'bait' to get a casual fan to become a follower of the sport...he's, at most times, painful to watch

so, my question is, do YOU enjoy watching Ward fight?

The attendance went from 8000 for Ward's Green fight down to 4100 for his Bika fight.

He's not easy to watch, even for people who like him. The referees need to stop him from holding his opponents' arms.

      Yeah, I do.

But then again, rarely do I find a fight/fighter boring.

how about Chris Byrd vs Devarryl Williamson?

I enjoy some of his fights. The Green fight was great.

The Kessler and Miranda fights were awful.

He looked good against a pitiful Jerson Ravelo.

I know guys base ***** off a guy's last fights, and the last two he was better than before. He looked decent.

Honestly though,. my mind won't let me forget his hugging of Edison Miranda.

I can make it through, if it is lacking in action, I try and look out for the little things that are going on, rather than watch it again later. I try to watch most fights a couple of times.

But obviously there are times when I'm like **** this ****. Valuev-Haye is one and I won't go near Jones-Hopkins II.

                    No i cant watch it

First of all its extremely boring. Also he keeps holding his opponents arm in the clinches and never gets seperated

He seems to have more and more fouls and headbutts every fight and he looks extremely dirty to me
