Angelo Dundee tells a story about screwing over some opponent's manager with a doctored tape measure. - The fighter had contracted for a 20' ring but the ring set-up was only 18 feet and the manager refused to let his guy fight just on principle, so Dundee took a tape measure and cut two feet out of the middle oft he tape and then had the ring remeasured in front of the manager. It measured out to 20'. Or so the story goes. - Dundee use to make stories up to make himself look important.

Dundee didn't need stories to be important he was important! His history is very rich in the sport. He does go back further than Ali you know.

He's not the first to do that. I think there have been huge legal disputes over contracts where a ring size was slipped in somewhere to give an added advantage to one side.
