It would have gotten ugly at some point later if that hadn't happened. If both fighters somehow managed to stay in control, it would have ended the same as the first fight, with Tyson losing heart and getting stopped late.

Holyfield probably would've won again.
If not by stoppage, maybe Holyfield opens that cut even more, and wins a technical decision.

Tyson was really bothered by the cut and Holyfield's butting.
Holyfield had the perfect style to beat the Tyson from the late 90s...........a superb chin, great in the clinches at stopping Tyson's percussive rhythm, excellent 12 round stamina coupled with the odd liberty with the rules of the sweet science too.
I've always maintained that the best Tyson beats the best Holyfield, but in 1997 Tyson was a more declined fighter.
