They’re working on a trade deal so back to square one

Btw, EU agricultural market is controlled by French and protection of their industry was fundamental to joining EU

Getting them to relinquish control will require trade offs in other areas so nothing will happen quickly

If Trump really wants free trade, he can start by removing massive subsidies to US farmers

Won’t happen as they wouldn’t be competitive internationally without them
