Same thing after Senchenko took him out. Actually louder if I recall.

You'd never get chants like this from Crawford's fans whether he wins OR loses.
I think that is the difference between them and the US fans. They like you win or lose. If you get beat they don't turn their back on you.
Sadly here most people only like winners and when they lose people generally move onto the next thing.

I remember it with Lacy and Hopkins. When Calzaghe beat them and made them look **** people turned on them. Shame.

To be fair, Hopkins never had mass support given his absolute snoozer against Jones and his "I'll never lose to a white boy!" interview.

But what you say is partially true. Quite a few Brits turned their backs on Amir Khan after Danny beat him and on Joshua after Ruiz knocked him silly.

What i mean by that is..
i follow the English premier league and la liga. The european champions league, the south american champions league (from the semi finals). We have the world club cup. We have international football tournies...inc the african nations cup.

the fact is in the US people arent necesserily watching all the other sports, they're just watching one.
likewise in the uk, we have cricket, rugby league and rugby union. Whilst cricket was going through a bad patch, we now have T20 format at club level and it is becoming more popular. England won the Cricket world cup final and the nation stopped.
it was a far bigger event than every major UK based boxing fight 10 times over.

We have darts, snooker, f1 and horse racing. We have Tennis too. These sports are all actually more popular than boxing in the UK. You just arent so familiar with their fans.
in various surveys in recent years, they've shown cricket to be 7th most popular based on tv views/airtime and public participation.

Still seats available for this overpriced "megafight": https://tinyurl.com/thtt85p

Lowest nosebleed seats going for $750+. As a comparison I recall buying upper-level Mayweather/Canelo seats for $350/seat back in 2013...

British sports fans... are the best in the world, period

they are the same with everything, not just boxing

when the lions toured here a few years back the british support was amazing... it seemed like the size of my country doubled overnight

same with the barmy army, for test matches

                they love it

for the most part... they will have a great time, they will be respectful/supportive of BOTH fighters... and they will compliment/congratulate Wilder if he beats Fury... some of them are cvnts, but most will be brilliant
Gotta agree with this, latest fight i went over the pond for wasJoshua vs Ruiz.

Some Mexican fans came out to celebrate and take the piss and seemed surprised that we were wrong to take the banter and congratulated them.

Get British people drunk watching sport (or music) and we'll have some fun, that's for sure

Well, he made $12million USD, so he had money to burn.

But drinking since Thursday? Oye, that musta been one helluva hangover. I could never drink like that. I'd wind up in jail again. LOL.

He’s a better fighter than Wilder though.
