That's just not true. Community support for disabled people is prehistoric & definitely predates socialism as a concept. There are records of village & church programs in the early medieval period to care for the disabled cost-free.

There are primitive tribes who care for disabled members (although the disabilities had to be comparatively mild in order to survive at all in that environment).

Such things are a matter of whether the society in question has adequate resources. If they do then they generally care for their disabled.

On the other hand (practically regardless of political ideology), in time of economic depression, total war, famine, the disabled are the first to be sacrificed.

I guess that's how socialism sinks its teeth in, though. They tell you every charitable act is "kinda just like socialism!"... Or that you wouldn't have it if socialism didn't give it to you. Even though in just about every example, the item in question predates socialism by hundreds of years or developed in complete isolation from socialism.

That’s true for the ones born with the disability.

American politics is such a dirty game that when someone comes in with and wants to rock the boat and create a change that really has a long lasting effect on the betterment of the avg person the games set up by the parties , lobbies , big $ to all but kill any real change from happening

These Socialst country’s you think are the worst, as a whole their citizens have a better , longer , healthier lives compared to Americans but Keep thinking that having a some what fair system in place that isn’t slanted to mostly benefit only a select few at the very top and that all citizens are able and deserve to get help if needed is a bad approach and while not perfect and that having a system set up that gives large corporations and the Ultra wealthy breaks that aren’t available to the other 99% in their system while actively trying to depress the bottom half of society is the right way for a country to govern

if you believe that it’s Socialism to provide healthcare like every other 1st world nation to all their citizens at a cheaper price with better results then the American health care system. Healthcare should should be the one industry that shouldn’t be treated like capitalism and maxing out profits is a good thing.

She got elected by going out and campaigning in her district. She wasn't happy with what she saw going on in D.C. and decided to be the change she wanted. She told the people in her district what she wanted to do and they agreed with her and elected her. She did it exactly the way it should be done.
