Peterson lodged an appeal against the WBA's decision to order a rematch. Given that the decision by the WBA was made prior to the IBF hearing where evidence was going to be given and GBP and Team Khan pulled out of the hearing the day before. Their order seems to be on very shaky ground.
The move by GBP to lever a rematch by getting the WBA to make the decision seems to have back fired. Peterson has not budged and is looking for a fight with Marquez. I don't see Peterson making any attempts to really negotiate with Team Khan until the WBA has finished with the Peterson appeal. As they are in limbo with regard to the amount of leverage they have and that will have a major bearing on what offer they make Team Khan.
Despite offers made by Team Khan it is the champion that makes the offers not the vanquished and until this appeal is cleared up I don't see Peterson offering Khan anything.
