sit your simple azz down somewhere...this dudes been fighting for over 20 years

Kovalev is a sharp puncher, breaks you down, doesnt have many if any one punch ko's over anyone but club fighters

he caught 'DRE flush when he attempted an outside slip of Kov's jab and a right hand counter.....**** happens

he took other flush right hand counters especially when he attempted his jab to the body and other situations

Kovalev couldnt KO ward, Chilemba and a 50 year old Hopkins, hit Pascal with everything but the kitchen sink an d he still made it past the mid point in both fights

he never was a julian jackson, bob foster type puncher...thats ok

his power is overrated and his boxing skills, timing and control of disatance is very underrated

He got stunned and held on from a jab, and was also knocked down.
He knows Kovalev's power is good.

I'm literally LMAO at folks claimed Kovalev "rocked" Ward with a jab. Ward was rockes, stunned, or anything else. He was squared up, in a bad position, and knocked off balance by a stiff, well timed jab. He literally took a half a step back.

Hell, Ward wasn't even hurt by the KD. Andre took an ass whipping in that second round, even before the KD. He was nailed by several sharp power shots. And he was dropped near the end of the round. And then came back and IMO won the third. It took him no time to clear his head.

The right that kovalev landed on ward was more of a slap, and the guy still went down. Ward better hope that kovalev doesn't land clean on Saturday.

So are we to believe a bunch of keyboard warriors assessment of Kov's power or a boxer who actually took his punches for 12 rounds AFTER moving UP in weight
The same people who said Ward is so scared, that he didnt stay down and just quit when he was knocked down HE (Kov) INITIATED 50+ Klinches after knocking Ward down. If he was such a killer WHY all the holding? Shouldnt he have been punching instead of holding Ward, shouldnt he have been trying to "finish" Ward, or punish Ward as he said......No he was grabbing and holding........

Meh, we all know Kov has power. Right now each of them is talking trash to psych the other out and get in one another's head. I think the rematch will be a dud. Ward will fight much more defensively this time around. More outside movement, more clinching. Kovalev will have to make this an ugly fight if he expects to win the rematch. Hope he's practicing how to break out of clinches.

I think Kovalev's physical stregnth, combined with his better than average power definitely shocked Ward early. He wasn't hurt, but he was definitely knocked off balance by a stiff, well timed jab in the first. And of course dropped by a well timed counter right by Kovalev in the second. But even then he wasn't really hurt. After that, Ward seemed to adjust to what he was up against. And Kovalev's power really wasn't much of a factor after that. It just became an evenly matched boxing match.
The knockdown punch was well timed but not positioned properly. The front of Kovalev's glove hit Ward's nose. Had Kovalev properly landed that punch on Ward's chin, I'm not so sure Ward would've been able to continue. Oh well, coulda shoulda woulda....

Ward was rocked by a jab and then dropped like a sack of potatoes.

At the end of the fight Ward was still dazed, so it's fair to say he's talking nonsense.
