  • When do you begin to hate, lose interest or dislike a fighter?

When does a fighter begin to get hated? Specifically, what is the most likely reason for people hating? I know that most of these can easily to be interchangeable and I understand this is a non-exhaustive list but help me out here. I'll start with a few:

    01. When he pads out his record with very low competition or "cherry picks"
    02. When he trash talks irrespective of whether he backs it up or not and becomes ****y
    03. When he leaves things to his promoter and never calls out anyone
    04. When he pulls out of fights often
    05. When he starts working with a known PED user/those who are known to be involved with PEDs
    06. When he fights at catch weights too often
    07. When he adopts the, "hit and not be hit", sweet science type of style or a style which you consider, "boring"
    08. When he receives a gift decision and never admits it
    09. When he starts head-hunting for KOs
    10. When he comes in grossly out of weight for a lot of his fights
    11. When he won't move up or respond to those calling him out (i.e. a duck)
    12. When he calls Manny and Floyd out without seemingly deserved to call them out
    13. When he's lost his last couple of fights and you expect him to keep losing
    14. When his fans begin to annoy you
    15. When he won't retire when most believe he is, "shot"
    16. When he comes out of retirement
    17. When he is technically very bad a boxing
    18. When he refuses tests
    19. When his record shows he has no KO power
    20. When he "quits"/"has no heart"
    21. When he refuses to leave his hometown
    22. When he is known to be quite gifted but won't test himself

For me, I think #22, #18 and #1 are the types who I hate the most.

My answer is "never." I don't hate on anyone, especially someone I don't know. Although I was glad when Broner took an L. I don't hate fighters because these guys are entitled to do whatever they want with their careers. If I don't necessarily like a fighter I simply don't follow him.
