I don’t think 230 should be gotten rid of either. It’s a mistake and Trump is wrong. What needs to happen is it needs to be modified because all the big tech companies have way too much power and are able to censor whatever they like. Getting rid of it would hurt any small company much more than twitter, facebook etc......so it needs to be changed so that big tech can not stamp down views that they dont like or fit their agenda.

Getting rid of it will basically kill social media in the US. The platform getting sued for what users post? How would they be able to operate?

They wouldn’t that’s what I’m saying. Although this would never really affect the big companies because they have so much freaking money.....but it would affect small en****** such as this site right here. Which is why it needs to be modified not eliminated.

Trump shouldn't remove 230, but modify it. 230 is good to protect smaller platform sites. But the big ones like Twitter and Facebook should be exempt from its protections. They want to act like partisan publishers and "fact check" and censor and cancel people, then they should be held responsible for all content on their platforms and be fully open to being sued.
