  • ESPN Pound for Pound Rankings: GGG is the new No. 1

    Congratulations GGG!

    The most important and respected P4P list, with a panel of 9 of the most respected boxing writers and analysts giving their votes on a 10 point scoring system.

    http://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/i...ovkin-new-no-1

    P4P Number 1 Votes

    Golovkin = 5
    Lomachenko = 2
    Chocolatito = 1
    Kovalev = 1
    Ward = 0

    We all know that this forum created their own little reality with the GGG haters and the usual suspects , but we still have to thank you for keeping GGG on top of the sport with your hourly discusssions and thousands of thousands of GGG threads!

    Discrediting GGG since he didnt knock out his latest opponent... by the same usual suspects, wondered why they never do the same with their heros Ward and Mayweather? Haha Got em!

    For the people who still think GGG vs Jacobs was that close...

    Ward and GGG shouldn't be on the list because of their last performances

      Ward technically didn't make the cut so you can be 50% relieved.

          THE PANEL: Dan Rafael, Teddy Atlas, Joe Cortez, Bernardo Pilatti, Eric Raskin, Nick Parkinson, Claudia Trejos, Carlos Nava and Salvador Rodriguez.

          Jubei, as someone who always notices racial problems with votes are you concerned there are no black voters in a poll where Ward got no No. 1 votes?

          Is this indicative of any bias IYO?

          Claudia Trejos was the most honest voter IMO.

              ESPN being the most respected list is hilarious

              I can't even remember a previous thread where anyone on this site expressed interest or concern about the ESPN list.

                Good For Them! Just Opinions of people who work for ESPN and Cover Boxing! Not such thing as an OFFICIAL P4P Ranking. This is mostly for Casuals who don't follow boxing but sometimes want to check in to see who is the BEST P4P

                  thats crazy; ward beat kovalev (who is a monster) controversially and GGG beat jacobs (not on KOV's level) controversially

                  and somehow that makes GGG number 1

                    When Atlas didn't put GGG on his P4P list you cried. Dan Rafael can't even properly tally his scorecard. It took him three tweets to tally the correct score. Suddenly these people are the most respected? No way in hell should Loma get a vote over Ward. He lost to Salido ffs. Even if you feel Ward lost to Kovalev that's still a better loss than Salido
