Joshua PPV Buys

12 December 2015: Anthony Joshua vs. Dillian Whyte – 420,000
9 April 2016: Anthony Joshua vs. Charles Martin – 500,000
25 June 2016: Anthony Joshua vs. Dominic Breazeale – 512,000
10 December 2016: Anthony Joshua vs. Éric Molina – 450,000
29 April 2017: Anthony Joshua vs. Wladimir Klitschko – 1,532,000
28 October 2017 – Anthony Joshua vs. Carlos Takam – 887,000
31 March 2018: Anthony Joshua vs. Joseph Parker – 1,457,000
22 September 2018: Anthony Joshua vs Alexander Povetkin - ~1,100,000

= AJ has already sold a total of 6,858,000 PPV

[Link View Has Been Removed. Click Here To Unlock This Content.]

Lets take AJ vs Parker which sold 1,457,000 PPVs x $26 = $37,882,000 PPV revenue
+ Gate of $10,4M = $47,882,000 revenue

[Link View Has Been Removed. Click Here To Unlock This Content.]

Assuming Wilder/Fury gate is ~$2.5M they would have to sell 700k PPVs @$65 just to match AJ vs Parker and would still be far away from reaching AJs highest grossing fight so far which was vs Klitschko.

Not even including all the international airing rights since AJ fights are shown in way more countries than Wilders fights.

Mate the world has moved on dont you read the news AJ does not need the US have you not worked that out.

WilderJoshua is not gonna happen because Hearn simply doesn't want to make it happen. HOWEVER, JoshuaWhyte rematch will be a great fight to determine if Joshua is still the 3rd best in the HW division

Gate at Staples Center ($1m in tickets sold on the first day, in case people forgot), the UK rights on BoxNation/BT Sport Box Office, and SHO PPV in the US.

Yiu mss the point gumbo.
PPV is 50% for comcast, time warner etc ...50% for HBO or showtime and fight promotion so that 50% is split between those two.
SkY get 50% and the fighters promotion get the other 50% in the uk.
They don't have a comcast taking out the pot 1st .
Hahahahah too funny. First of all, apparently you're unaware that Comcast owns Sky.

Second of all, the US set up is pretty much the same as the UK set up. When you order a PPV on DirecTV, it's the same thing as Sky Box Office. DirecTV is the TV provider, plus they own the PPV channel, no different than Sky being the TV provider and owning Sky Box Office.

On the cable side, InDemand is co-owned by all the major cable companies.

You're inventing numbers that make no sense because you have no idea what you're talking about. The only difference is having a distributor fee in the US if you go through HBO or Showtime, but that fee is minimal and Sky Box Office charges a separate fee from Sky Digital's take, so it all evens out anyway.

Unless you know the % each take you can't claim it evens out. You just can't.

Tyson Fury is a large part of that, you want to just completely ignore that? A true draw can sell against anybody. Wilder can't.

That idiot is claiming on UK PPV the promoter keeps ALL THE MONEY while the US promoter only gets half. This is wrong. We don't know the exact percentages because depending on how much leverage you have, you can get a more advantageous split, but the general rule is 50/50 and that goes for anywhere in the world.

That idiot claiming the UK doesn't have cable and therefore the promoter keeps everything is just flat out wrong. Whether it's Virgin or Sky, they get their cut just like DirecTV or Comcast would in the states.

**** off dummy they have literally just paid for it ...the ink isn't dry and Joshua has not boxed under Comcast yet for a start lol
Sky do not have to pay any cable provider to air there fights... they are the cable provider and the network showing it..which means 50% is not lost straight away lol
You wanna check the date to see if Joshua fights were under sky or Comcast ? I'll send you the date if you want again to be shut up ? Arguing over a proven PPV fighter against a fighter who has not even sold 1 ticket on PPV who's fight with fury the tickets are 50% sold and whose PPV figure will most likely be under 300k lol your a dimwit
