I still think a "exclusive deal" is something thats about the platform more than the promoter. It makes no sense for a platform to bow down to a promoter like that & control the content like that when their could be better options out there.

It does make sense for DAZN or ESPN to make sure all of Eddie's & Bob's shows are exclusive to their network, unless they wanna opt out on a card or fighter or two like HBO did from time to time with guys with "exclusive" deals too back in the day. The guy paying the money is the one with the power here, not the one taking the money.

DAZN or ESPN could kick Eddie & Bob in the dick tomorrow & throw their contract in the garbage if they wanted. They won't cuz they need & want content, but lets not get it twisted like Eddie & Bob aren't middlemen more than they got power to keep out other boxers & promoters like people keep acting like they got.

There are also reports that they are in the process of signing the next mexican stud Eduardo Hernandez

I would take their roster over Hearns US roster plus they have actually proven they can build US stars and promote in the US market, fill US venues. Hearn is a total unknown with no US fighters and the one lure he had was DAZN and their check book. Well without that why not either sign with Golden Boy or try and make your own deal with DAZN going over his head like Canelo and Golden Boy did.
What he said. I think cats are sleeping on Golden Boy’s stable a bit.

So if you are a US fighter why sign with Hearn? Golden Boy is a bigger and better promoter that already has US on lock and now has access to DAZN dates and money. Am I missing something here? How is this good for Hearn getting other US fighters to sign with him instead of just deal with DAZN or sign with Golden Boy who has a proven track record in the US Market?
I think DAZN & GBP/Canelo can eventually become a smart move for some US based boxers. If GBP allows his prospects to fight in the UK and on DAZN they may actually make more money and more fans. The UK has loyal boxing fans and if u open up the waters a bit, it gives fighters exposure that they may get elsewhere.

WEll it’s a bit of a win win really for them, having extra dates isn’t a bad thing even if fringe fighters really!

100x this. GB has Canelo, and they have some great prospects...but that's basically it. Everyone signed to GBP in the 154-168 range not named Mungia is there as Canelo enhancement talent. This will get some talent to swap along with get some exposure to those prospects.

As long as DAZN doesn't show entire 5 hour GBP cards
