Default What weight boxing gloves did joe louis and armstrong use

I understand that 6 ounce gloves during the 1930's and 40's were standard in the lighter weight divisions, but I don't know if in the heavy weight div. Also, what were the glove weights per division during 1970's - 1980's and currently?

- -Standard was 6 oz horsehair.

By the time of young Clay, it was 8 oz. Today for heavy title bouts, it's 12oz as I recall.

In Joe Louis day it was 8 oz. 6 oz is Dempsey's day.

It should still be 10 oz, which changed in the 80s.
