but had good boxers, better than thailand,i have no daubt that other combat sports are more popular in asia then Box,peace man
Boxing wasn't big in South Korea. I lived there for several years. They have had if I remember correctly only 1 boxing hall of famer. I'm pretty sure they have no current world champions now.
However you do find plenty of Japanese, Filipinos and other asians.

I unfortunately don't post here as much as I used to. I rarely log on anymore. New job with odd hours and moving makes it difficult to keep up with all the boxing I used to. I also keep up with pro wrestling and MMA and with the NFL season midway through I am CONSTANTLY watching something.
Korea is easly ahead of thailand or China which have nearly 0 boxing history ,i would say Korea/Japan are the best
Easily ahead of Thailand? Eh?
Thailand have had more champions than Korea and are right up there with Japan as the best asian boxing nation. They have had a ****load of great champions. China are ****e, but Japan, Thailand and Korea are the big ones, with Philipines coming in close, especially of late.
Japan in particular produce consistently good to great fighters in most of the lower divisions probably more than any other asian country though. Awesome boxing nation.
