The Kansas card makes no sense to me. He moved it to Kansas because Nico Hernandez sells tickets. But Claressa Shields is on the card and all of her fights in Detroit have sold out.

I would've moved it to Detroit & made Shields the co-main. She sells more than Hernandez.

Chicago is a fight town. But you have to reach out to the local promoters. I can't think of the promotervm there but he sells more tickets than Hearn's last show there

      DAZN is a subscription-based business.
      It's not about selling tickets.
      It's about selling subscription.
      The location doesn't even matter.
      Much like Netflix-produced movies.
The location of the shooting of the movie is immaterial.
Do you get it now doe?
      Hope that helps.

America has too much entertainment to choose from to give a **** about Hearn's mediocre PPV cards. What do Brits have to watch besides Hearn's garbage? Eastenders and Benny Hill.

Wow, this particular boxing fan seems to lack an understanding of the business.

The live gate, the drop, ALWAYS MATTERS, WTF are you talking about??

That's an extremely viable source of revenue for any promotion that matters.

It's not like Netflix, your analogy is super horrible.

              It's about producing content doe.
              No content, no subscribers.
Look at how many millions of dollars these streaming services spend just to produce content.
You can even produce content and sell it to these streaming services, if it's good enough.
Some of them are even good enough to be shown in theatres.
Think about Game of Thrones' final season.
              $15 million per episode.

Do the people on this thread realize that DAZN started like 2/3 months ago? Why is everyone so keen to judge now - it's crazy! Judge in 2 years time - Rome wasn't built in a day and I think they've made a solid start.

Few things I wanna pick up on is why do y'all keep on describing these shows as PPV? They're not PPV - one of the most interesting selling points of DAZN is that they don't ever wanna do a PPV as we know it. You pay a monthly subscription fee & that's it. No more $50, $80, $100 PPV prices. So to call these cards PPV is plain wrong.

Also, why is it wrong to take these shows around the country? Boxing in this country ain't in great shape so why repeat everything the sport does already by giving everything to Vegas, LA & NY? DAZN are trying a new approach & I like that. It works for the UFC so why not for boxing? Some people got their head in the sand.

Americans too fat and idle to go to events, might not fit in the seats if they did.

Yep DAZN is in the international market. It's not just about the US like the US TV networks. Overall subs are what matter.

So from November 3 to December 15,
DAZN subscribers will get 6 fight events.
How many will you get from Showtime?
                      Probably 1 in December.
The other one (Fury vs Wilder) is not even on subscription.
                      It's PPV doe ($80 - $100)
