So DAZN finally eliminated their free monthly trials? I was wondering when they would stop it.
Does anybody know how ESPN+ charges? Do they allow monthly? yearly?

Where are you getting this low subscriber rate? DAZN doesn’t disclose that info.Originally posted by killakali View Postwhat you mean to say is they lowered their price if u subscribe for the year. Very smart move. So people don’t just subscribe 2 months a year. And even if they did for Canelo fights $40 is about half the cost of one Canelo ppv and u get the whole month of programming.
Then a couple months so offering a cheap annual rate is a incentive to stay the whole year.

Originally posted by _Maxi View PostYes and no. If you pay annual subscription, you pay less than $10 per month.
Or you can only subscribe for a month and pay $20 for any fight that would normally be on PPV and cost $75.
Almost all of the rest of the main event fights would be undercard fights on Espn /Showtime , With some being FS1 undercard fight quality
If you’re a super hardcore having a annual fee of 100 is good , if you haven’t bought Dazn yet or just contemplating checking it out doubling the monthly fee isnt going to attract many new subscribers to purchase

I think it's natural that boxers from other platforms are going to start asking questions and considering their options.
You can talk forever about the business side of the platforms and how they make their money, subscriber numbers etc..but for the fighters, they just want paying. If they see fighters on another network making 3x what they are for similar level fights, then they will start asking questions, demanding the same or consider moving, it's that simple.
I think right now people are still unsure but if in a years time, DAZN is still doing well and more big names are signing for good money, then more and more will be wanting to go there. It's a snowball effect.
People didn't take them seriously at first, now they have GGG and Canelo and more.

2016/2017 it was "PBC Fighters are OVERPAID" now they're Underpaid?
“One of the problems with Haymon is he’s an adviser, a manager, and their job is to get the most amount of money for the less risk. And that’s not in the fans’ interest. That’s not in the broadcast’s interest,” Hearn said. “He’s doing a great job for his fighters, but when you put your promotional hat on, you’re not going to spend money with a broadcaster and then, when that deal is up and you turn around and say, ‘Do you like my product? How much are you going to pay me in rights fees?” they’re going to say, ‘No thanks, but if you want to pay us again, we’ll do it again.’ ”

Only to turn around and try to COPY the same Model with the Backing up DAZN! Oh The Hypocrisy in boxing is beyond hilarious. Same with Arum who before the backing of ESPN was critical of the Model now look what they're doing as well

People are not understandings the layout of investment. Hearn and Arum were crying that Haymon was doing peak views of 5million on Primetime FREE TV, with which commercial coverage justifies those purses as well as the general capital from Waddell & Reed resources.
DAZN is a PAID service. PBC wasn't always exclusive to Showtime, so these models aren't remotely the same at all. It's not like PBC fighters had multi-year contracts and one lump sum deal. Haymon didn't know the success rate, and a 1.5 million dollar purse is apples to oranges with the infrastructure and pay type of VOD's or Apps.
DAZN has Leonard Blavatnik. That guy is HUGE, the Real Deal Holyfield, and a bonafide gee with Access Industries. It makes Waddell and Reed small time, and as DAZN continues to grow, now with Spain and Brazil - it's only going to get better. Leonard is a genius in telecommunications business alone, like a small time Carlos Slim who's also tight with Canelo Alvarez.
DAZN is going to change the game.
