When I had my stroke I had what I thought was extreme muscle tension in the back of my neck, that ended up being where they found the clot. So like I said, I ve been having these sporatic pains in my neck behind my left ear. They started up around noon today and while they don't leave me crying in pain, the discomfort is certainly enough to make my eyes twinch if you know what I mean. I popped an extra little bit of blood thinner just in case. So if any of you have your phd or know a nurse or somebody that you could contact could you please do so. I in no way want to go through the stroke process again but I really can't afford to go to the doctors for a false alarm. Dig this, after I had my stroke I was put on medic-aid and disability. So it goes on for so long and then they take it away even though I am still disabled. Their reasoning being that I make too much money on disability payments. If you make more then $440 a month you are ineligible. ****, I made more money when I was 17 years old. Anyway, any help would be appreciated.......Rockin'
hmmm. Don't know. I'd say if you've had an official stroke before though, you should keep an eye on any eventuality..even small pains in the neck. U don't want half your face goin slack permanently that shit would suck

No worries about your comment. Thinking about it it would open blood vessels but maybe just in the wrong place. It wouldn't let me give you karma, it was a good laugh though. Thanks...........Rockin'

Yeah, that would be bad. The initial stroke happened where the clot actually never entered the brain, very lucky there. However, it did mess my left side up somethin' bad, can't even throw a jab any more. And it didn't affect my face at all.

Funny thing with the stroke the first time. I'm laying in bed a couple of days after being admitted and such and the nurse turns the television on for me. The family guy was on, the one where he was having a stroke. Dude, I never laughed so hard in my life. He takes a sip of soup and it pours out the side of his mouth, he did it a bunch of times and I'm laughing as I type this about that episode.

I mean, really I in no way want to go through that again but it honestly has been a blessing in many different ways.

Guys, just keep your fingers crossed for me and hopefully I will be telling you tomorrow that it was just a false alarm. Thanks for being there though.........Rockin'

Wait, I thought I read where you said you were a pro fighter or turning pro soon. Yet you had a stroke a year ago?

            Something smells fishy....

the condition ur suffering right now is what we called neuroparthy which is a common manifestation for a post-stroke patient...its very hard to treat neuropathic pains but u can try pregabalin 75mg 2x a day+ etoricoxib 120mg once a day...if this fails try morphine....try to exercise everyday and dnt forget to take ur aspirin as to lyze the clots...i hope this helps

This is why you guys need you're own version of our NHS.

Who cares if you get taxed even more. Health is paramount.

straight up!!! i was buying a cup of tea this morning and due to a faulty shelf accidentally dumped it on my hand. Instant blister. But the point is that it's only a large blister. low grade burn at best. i am going to my doctors this morning, free. he will then give me salve and possibly anti-biotics which will cost me a total of about 6 dollars. that's in canada. there is no way a victim of something so serious should have to wait.
