Pits are far from ugly. Plus the term “Pitbull” can be damn near anything. American Pitbull terrier is one breed. Staffordshire terrier is what most also call a pit and basically any mixed dog that looks “scary”

I find it interesting that you point out a flaw in his argument, yet are using the same logic with your counter argument.. "I saw some videos on Youtube of pitbulls attacking so therefore they are all killers." His point stands. Generally speaking, if raised properly a pitbull will not exhibit any aggression toward humans. The vast majority of pitbulls never attack anyone.

They probably don't but when they do it's hellacious. Like the man said they are involved in a disproportionate amount of attacks on other animals and people. In my book people come first....

Staffordshires are basically the same thing, they just originated from a different kennel. They're nearly as bad. In the UK the American Pitbull is banned but the Staffordshire isn't due to a loophole, and it basically fills the same niche, ie. the dog of choice for every wannabe hard man and drug dealer in the country that also accounts for the most maulings and fatal attacks, as well as being the majority of the unwanted dog population in shelters. You can split hairs all you want but at the end of the day if it's a terrier with a squat, muscular body, big head with gator mouth and a violent temperament then it's close enough to a pitbull to be lumped in with them. Pitbull advocates play this name game BS to muddy the waters all the time.

Woman Mauled To Death By A Pit Bull She Rescued 2 Weeks Earlier

According to Howard County Police, officers were called to a home on Tamar Drive on Labor Day for a report of a woman being mauled to death by her dog.

Robin Conway was found dead in her backyard with significant injuries.

A family member found Conway in her yard around 7:20 p.m. on Monday with the dog standing over her.

The witness called 911 and tied the dog to a fence until help arrived.

The radio transmission was heard with the caller saying he thought his wife was attacked by a dog and might be dead.

Police and EMS responded and pronounced Conway dead at the scene.
