the filmmakers are laughing all the way to the bank. fair play to them they found a market to exploit and it worked perfectly, make people beleive they are part of some social movement and they just HAVE to watch it, genius idea.
Pretty much. Everyone stays in the same lane in America. Very few leaders.
Gone With the Wind is still number one because people had to see it in a theater in those days to actually see it.
These days, you've got lots of options when it comes to seeing a new movie. Which one's the most expensive? That's the one that will get the least amount of business overall.
It's still great numbers. Don't get me wrong, but when you really put it into perspective, this "movie breaking records" **** is not huge news.
Ryan Coogler is one of the dopest directors in the game today. Dude is killing it in any & all things.
3 movies in so far.
Fruitvale Station, Budget $900k, Box Office $17.4M, Profit $16.5M, 1833% ROI Creed, Budget $40M, Box Office $173.6M, Profit $133.6M, 334% ROI Black Panther, Budget $200M, Box Office $1.335B, $1.135B Profit, 567% ROI
This cat speaks to the f#cking people with his stories. And Michael B Jordan is his mfer dude it seems like with him staring or playing a major part in all 3 of his films (& he'll be starring in his 4th too about a school cheating scandal that sounds like its gonna be his play for an Oscar or some awards again after to funner action films).
It's either the worst movie of all time or the greatest thing ever made, depending on who you ask. I think at least half of the most opinionated people never even seen the movie.
