The fight venue was reconfigured for less than 40k. The Spurs biggest crowd there in history was 39k. Canelo vs Trout did the same. There have been bigger events that didn't even hit 30k. Biggest fight there was Chavez/Whitaker. You must be a fool to believe that there was going to set up the whole arena for that fight.

It will only do that for big fights. There have only been like 2 big fights there. Chavez/Whitaker and Canelo/Trout. All other fights they have ever had there, arena has been scaled down. Should have looked at the seating chart for the MIkey fight before posting. Arena was configured to 15k for that fight.

The Alamodome was supposed to serve as a litmus test for Garcia's drawing power in that market. Btw you fail to address the drop in ticket prices too. If the venue is smaller, why no markup?

And there's no way to substantiate your claim anyway. The fight has been canceled for over a week. How would we know what the availability was now? The ticket sites have been pulled.

                  What did Broner-Maidana do there?

Just pulled it. They had 11.2k in attendance with 35k seats available.

... There were photos of the seating chart on Ticketmaster, so what are you talking about?

The new venue has a boxing capacity of just short of 12000; the seating chart for Alamodome was scaled down drastically from the full venue so 15000 max is a reasonable guess.

It's a lateral move, in the same city, on a different date. Not all that much to figure out.
