You play golf? That's what I pattern it on...

After a small first step, start the turn from your hip to your shoulders, arms then end with your fist.

There are different kinds of power.

Power that derives mainly from velocity. Power that derives mainly from how much weight you put into it. And power that combines both velocity and weight.

For velocity it about getting as much speed in your punch while staying grounded enough so their is enough weight behind it. This type of puncher usually does not have much physical strength.

The one that gets it from putting all their weight into basically does just that. They plant their feet and throw their body into the shots. Usually a physically fighter.

For the one that combines both, they have a natural balance so they are to fire off the high velocity shots while being rooted to the ground.

As for how you can become a puncher like any of those, no one can teach you. Each persons body works and operates a little differently. You have to be able to move around and set your weight down in a split second. 99% of punchers are born having that balance.

To add on a bit to my previous post.

Our bodies that we are given are like engines to a degree. Some engines carry more horsepower and some carry more torque. Some are also more fuel efficient.

Don't forget about the power of surprise and having to except unexpected blows. Those are the ones that really put your lights out.......Rockin'

In my opinion Loma did not learn a thing. He only fought him for 3 rounds, just about giving Lopez the fight. He did nothing for the other rounds..........Rockin'

How to get leverage and transfer weight in to the punch?

Does the shoulder snap include elastic recoil in the pec and front delt when hooking?

How to punch through the target?

Concentrate on perfecting the technique and the power will come naturally. Use your legs and hips to twist into the punches. Speed, technique and timing =power.

Lomachenko is a good example of that.
