  • Canelo/Khan Is A DESPERATION Fight For GoldenBoy & HBO

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUbyHnl3maw

it will sell bc BOTH are names BUT this is a desperation move if ive ever seen one to say they "generate" interest "on this side"[meaning the hbo/golden boy side]
while this is a mismatch tho AMIR KHAN CANNOT BE DOUBTED FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR OF 2016 EVEN IF HE FIGHTS ROD SALKA LIL BROTHER

Respect for both. HBO was pushing for a Canelo-Aaron Pyror Jr. fight but Canelo turned it down.

I don't think its desperation, but it is disgraceful. HBO keeps giving their signed guys easy fight after easy fight. How much longer will fans tolerate this?

Khan took the fight because he was more to gain and not a lot to lose.

If he beats Canelo then he gets another major title, his value sky rockets, and he can probably lure Mayweather out of retirement. If he loses, he was expected to lose as a smaller 4-1 underdog, his value is still high because he would headline a PPV and could still command big names as the A-side in future fights.

Nah...the fight makes financial sense. This is the first fight at the new T-Mobile arena so I'm sure there was pressure to bring in a big name. The casuals will be excited for this and it will be fireworks from the opening bell.

My respect for Canelo just grew, everyone ducked Khan, Pacquaio, Mayweather, Bradley but not CANELO he aint shook.
