  • Does Canelo have a chance of ever surpassing Mayweather?

By the time his career ends does Canelo have a chance of surpassing Mayweather in terms of accomplishments in the ring? Skill? Money made?

Accomplishments and skills yes of course he has a chance. Floyd hasn't done anything otherworldly like some seem to make out.
Money made, I don't know about that.

With a victory over Kovalev he would have accomplished some things Floyd never did

Exactly. Is it even possible that there is any boxing fan on earth who hasn't thought exactly that? Nelo is doing things Floyd never dreamt of doing. Floyds known as mister cautious, no risk taker. So I don't even think anyone wants to follow what Floyd has done.

Not a fan of these 2, but mayweather is higher level than Canelo. Better skills, better money maker.

Canelo is just a product of Oscar`s frustration because Floyd beat him and his boy Canelo also.

Theoretically speaking, he could say move all the way to say heavyweight like Roy Jones did & win the heavyweight title and that would put him in the top 10 or 20 of all-time.

As it's going, no, because he's basically reliving Floyd's career, but with more robberies.

If he moves to heavyweight maybe. Anything is possible. Just remember that Floyd took to school possibly two fighters of the decades. That is insane.
