I disagree with this. Fighters have a boss and that's the guy getting them paid, that's also who should be calling the shots.
I believe this is against the MAA & its what Haymon gets accused of doing. A promoter who's choosing your fights for you is acting as a manager & a promoter. Thats why these promoters (TR/GBP) or de facto promoters (HBO/PBC) have usually okay'd lists of opponents instead of just one guy they make you fight.
I'd personally be a fan of a dictatorship in boxing like in other sports & I think the reality is boxing fans want that to they just don't wanna admit it cuz it sounds bad. At the end of the day if you want the best fighting the best you want one unified central power controlling boxing not the clusterf#ck of warlords trying to claim their place & in a constant state of battle.
