  • Im very much interested in a Gary Russel vs Rigo fight...

I think Gary may take it at this point.
    What are your thoughts?

Side note, I think Rigo who has been exposed for having one dimensional defense, would do great with Floyd Sr. So many head movements he is missing out on. He just bends down, and throws a scraight left, left uppercut, and a few check hooks with each hand. I would like to see his counterpunch consist of a bit more than that straight left.

I would love to see him training under Floyd Sr. Remember how amazing Chad Dawson looked against Adamek. I mean Rigo has all the natural tools, he just has a subpar Education.

I think Rigo is finished as a pro, so no thanks.

Couldn't be mad at GRJ if he made it but meh.

He shouldnt be finished after one embarrassing defeat. He has taken little punishment, and I dont think he should retire until he gets KO'd a few times. He has to avenge himself as well

Russell has lightning fast hands and power. I think he would knock Rigo out and I no longer think Rigo is as good as I though he was before Loma showed his flaws.

He shouldn't retire until he gets KO'd a few times? I would think getting KO'd once should be enough for a 37 year old great boxer. Brain damage sometimes doesn't show up until years after a boxer retires. It killed Floyd Patterson and Roy Jones is risking his future health and safety.

I mean not back to back KO's wear he is getting knocked cold. But you have one KO loss, then come back ad do good, then do good in another fight, and maybe get TKO'd down the line. Something like that. But not where he damaged. I dont think he should retire just cuz he got outboxed by the best fighter. Retire at least after losing to an under dog or a low caliber fighter.

Agreed. He's always looked 1-dimensional to me and really looked like 1 or 2 trick pony against Loma
