The lion was friendly and didnt want to fight the Tiger, when it ripped his neck open, in the wild, with a wild Lion, he would defend himself and eat the Tiger.

That's stupid. You're claiming something that would never happen in the wild. Lions like wide open areas with dens, tigers like areas where they blend in. It wouldn't happen by mistake if tigers where in Africa

          Females are bigger than Males......

Lions can be 400lbs, Tigers 500-600lbs

Tigers hunt alone, live alone and are much more independent.

I used to know this chick that worked with big cats, everyone told me the same thing, a tiger would kill a lion.

For the record, either one of those animals with a lucky strike could sever the jugular of the other animal. They are incredibly powerful and it could happen.

Tiger beats a lion, it's a no contest.

Lions are the body guards of the pride, to protect the females from other prides and rogue lions.

Lions get into far more fights with other lions, whereas Tigers are solitary and would prefer not to engage in a fight with other tigers and lions. That's the nature of the two beasts.

When confined in cages, the Barbary lions have been known to kill the tigers regularly. This was noted in the Roman times when they used to get these animals to fight each other.

These days, there are more caged tigers than there are roaming tigers in the wild. They are far larger than the lions that have also been bred in captivity. Because the lions arent' used to fighting like the free lions, they are at a physical disadvantage. So, captive tigers will beat captive lions. But wild lions will almost always beat wild tigers.

This Ends the Debate. Lions win. Tigers will avoid fights in the wild. Lions will not.

I was really into this subject when I was younger and came to the conclusion that in a 1 on 1 battle a Tiger would beat a Lion. Tigers have more survival skills than Lions and live in more climates. Tigers have stronger hind legs which means they are faster and can leap in and out to engage. They are great at climbing trees and swimming in water.

Lions have more developed shoulders which means their strikes are strong but much slower. This does not mean that Lions strike harder than Tigers because Tigers are just as strong if not stronger. Lions aren't developed evenly like Tigers. Lions are developed more like Gorillas. This means that they are much slower than tigers.

They also have different fighting styles. Lions tend to fight on three legs and use one leg to strike. Tigers tend to fight on two legs and use both front legs to strike. This is a huge advantage for the Tiger.

So in a fight this is most likely what would happen. The Tiger would jump in and throw a combination right to the Lions face. If the Lion is able to throw back it would be too late and the Tiger would probably be out of range anyways. And Scientist have said that in a fight between a Bengal Tiger and a African Lion there would be a 90% chance the Tiger would win.
