Top10 is almost certainly including Fury, Wilder, Joshua, Povetkin, Whyte, Ortiz, Miller, Pulev, Parker, Ruiz as it stands.

You could maybe argue Kownacki or Brezeale? But let’s assume not for now?

Of those ten who has the three fought?

Fury - 1
Draw with Wilder.

Wilder - 2
Draw with Fury, Beaten Ortiz.

Joshua - 4
Lost to Ruiz
Beat Whyte
Best Povetkin
Beat Parker

Of the others (outside fury/wilder) Joshua has also had Miller and Pulev pull out of fights and Ortiz turn down a fight due to his promoter issues.

This excludes retired fighters and timing of career when the fight was but still you can clearly who has taken the most risk.

Maybe Ruiz got lucky or maybe he will prove in the rematch he is the real deal? But as it stands I won’t give the view that Joshua doesn’t have a chance against anyone at the top on the basis of one loss. If anything wilder and fury need to prove themselves against more top opposition.

Systematically outboxing and breaking down your opponent is NOT LUCK. Ruiz was faster, far better chin, more SKILLED than AJ. It was not just one shot, this was not Lewis-Rahman getting got by a big shot. Ruiz DOMINATED AJ from the 3rd round on.

Imagine being thoroughly dominated by a clinically obese uber driver that you thought would make a good tune up stay busy fight.

Boxing is about levels and AJ is several levels below current best Wilder and Fury.

I also noticed you went out of your way to avoid listing common opponents Wladimir and Brezeale because you know that AJ's performance was far inferior to that of Fury and Wilder in those fights.

7 rounds? AJ doesnt have near the power of Wilder.

Imagine having overrated power and a glass jaw, thats what you have with AJ. Now that the truth has been exposed, the uber drivers of the world dont have the fear they once did of AJ, expect a lot more knockouts on his glass jaw, even by stay busy tune up level opponents.

AJ doesnt have the jaw to handle wilder.

You think AJ would rise from the shots Fury took? He would be out cold for several minutes.

Wilder will be the next HW hype to be exposed, his power will not be able to bail him out forever. The big oaf Fury, when focused and not getting popped for PEDs, is the only decent HW of this trio in a garbage HW era.

Ok let’s add Klitschko and Brezeale into it.

Joshua has knocked out both. Fury and Wilder have both beaten one each (the latter having publicly refused to fight the other).

So that just makes Joshua’s case even stronger that losing one fight shouldn’t be looked into too much.

You say Ruiz didn’t land with a single shot but it was a single shot which changed the fight. Joshua had won the first two rounds and knocked him down in the third when Ruiz caught him; he never recovered and Ruiz got further shots in as a result.

How many top heavyweight fighters have gone there career facing top10 opposition consistently and never lost?

Fury has 1 good win in his career. Klitschko. Wilder has 1 good win in his career. Ortiz. How are they levels above Joshua, who beat guys like Povetkin, Parker, Whyte?

Recovering is part of boxing. Did mayweather get his ass kicked after the second round of mosley or did he regroup and dominate the rest of the fight?

How can AJ be getting his ass kicked around in the 6th round and you saying oh well that was left over from 1 single punch in the 3rd, get out of here. Ruiz learned that AJ couldnt handle the pressure and applied it the rest of the fight, completely outlanding and outboxing him. You keep trying to distort reality of how badly and thoroughly AJ lost.

As for the common opponents, more spin from you, as I stated BOTH Wilder and Fury delivered superior performances

Povetkin is 39 years old, he was a name 6 years ago when Wlad fought him not now.

Who did they fight when AJ fought 39 year old Povetkin? They fought higher ranked fighters in each other!

I see everyone in this thread when talking resumes and level of opposition ignore the Fury-Wilder fight, just because its a draw doesnt mean you erase it like it never happened.

Fury-Wilder showed us 2 things:
1. Wilder can land bombs on a far more elusive and skilled fighter than AJ in Fury. We know Wilder will land bombs on AJ if he can on Fury.
2. Fury can take Wilders bombs and rise from the canvas. If fury can take Wilder's power he could take AJ's inferior power.

3. Wilder's power is demonstratively superior to AJ's, we have seen this vs common opponent Breazeale.
4. Wilder's power is also undeniably greater than Ruiz's power.

This tells us everything we need to know about AJ's place in the heavyweight realm amongst the champions.

A. Wilder will land bombs on AJ with power greater than what knocked him out vs Ruiz.
B. Fury has taken and recovered from bombs greater than anything AJ can produce.

Wilder and Fury have to beat somebody like Whyte ( even better: Parker, Ruiz), to prove us what they are.

So you say Povetkin is not good win because he is old. Well, Ortiz is even older, so was Klitschko when Fury fought him. Enough with this double standards.
