Lmao how is wilder a freak he struggled against bums. Everyone is acting like Ortiz is some great fighter. Dude is fat and would be 215 as well if he was in shape. Louis koed plenty of huge men yet that 9 lb size difference tho. Not to forget he is 6 ft 2 a lot more solid at 205 than Wilder is at 214. He would break his ribs.

It's not that funny mate, he's a freak as in having the physical proportions that are virtually incomparable to any other heavyweight in history
But not to ignore the fact both Wilder and Louis are known for knocking out heavier opponents

Am not a custom to using the term 'bum' though am aware of the monthly thing often attributed to many Joe Louis opponents
Ortiz wasn't particularly fat (like Galento) and had he not been past his prime
Would have probably taken care of business in the 7th

People are just getting delusional after Wilder beat Ortiz, comparing him to Joe Louis and saying he could compete with the all time great heavyweights of the past.

You can tell all the amateurs by how they emphasize a hwts size, physique, reach and weight. These are parameters to mentions once many other boxes are checked FIRST. Think boxing skill and ability, toughness, heart, will to win, killer instinct. Boxing is all about skill. It's a highly skill driven sport.

One must critically look at Wilder. Why be a fan boy? Is it that necessary to jump on a fighters bandwagon so quickly ignoring the details that are required to be looked at as an good fighter? Wilder is an relatively unskilled fighter. Has he shown any ability to slip, block, parry, and counterpunch? Answer is no. He is also sloppy.....winding up from right field with his right hand. He is quite simply right hand crazy. Ortiz fought a good technical fight if you noticed. He kept moving in mini circles to his right taking away Wilders right hand. He got into trouble when he was caught standing right in front of Wilder either via exhaustion or change of tactics. It appeared around round seven Ortiz began attacking looking for the KO. Perhaps he felt Wilder tiring? What's good about Wilder? Excellent right hand power and he certainly showed Drive and determination in this fight which is a huge plus. Someone needs to settle him down and teach him how to FIGHT. Hone skills that are sorely lacking, shorten up his punches, teach him to throw a great jab to set up that right hand, a great left hook would neutralize what Ortiz tried to do to tie up Wilders right. Bottom line he needs a great trainer to make him into a skilled fighter. Right now he is a work in progress. A fighter who gets by with great right hand power and little else.

The problem is, his lack of skills and that wacky style if the secret of his success. I believe if he fought an Ortiz type of style he would likely have been knocked out already.
