he actually boxed in china when he was in school and was top fighter.......

but probably wont mean much from those times

He went on record saying Boxing was the best hand to hand combat sport at the time being fighters actually sparred which he said was the only true way to prepare yourself for actual combat. Martial Arts tournaments in the States during that time didn't consist of fighters actually hitting you more than judges predicting whether or not a shot would've landed. He termed it "Dry land Swimming".
    this right here....

theres an invertview with grandmaster steven muhammad that talks about bruce lee studying ali's feet movement etc.... when you saw bruce fight you clearly see ali's footwork mixed into his training.

and that video of him hitting the bag of 150 making it swing back with ease too

        He didn't.
He won his Christian school boxing match.

There was no golden gloves in HK that time.
Dude, was there even Golden Gloves in England in the 1950's ? Golden Gloves is a Yankee program.

And your karate tournaments claim is laughable.

Well, he gassed out in his infamous fight in Oakland.
That's why he started running with his Dane named Bobo.

And, btw, boxing is still very exhausting even if you run for miles and miles a day. That's why they run the hills.

Bruce Lee left HK in 1959 to claim his US citizenship.
He was born in Nov 1940.
He did not box in HK at 17 or 18 years old.
You guys need to stop making stuff up.

I can argue Stallone would have been a good boxer too if I keep at it .

Lee kept training in boxing b/c he incorporated it in JKD. And after admiring Casius Clay.
The video shows he was a crappy boxer .
you keep missing the got damm point!!

if he has proper boxing training, he would do well. you keep ignoring this part. i said since he has a fighting mentality already, with some real proper training in boxing, and you gonna tell me he's still gonna look crappy?

"In the 1958 Hong Kong Inter-School Amateur Boxing Championships, a match held between twelve schools throughout Hong Kong, Lee used straight punches and his Wing Chun traps to defeat three time champion Gary Elms; it was a total knock out".
