How could Steve Weisfeld's conflict of interest not have been OBVIOUS to the Ohio commission? And he unsurprisingly turns in a scorecard with the widest margin (7-3) for the Showtime fighter?

Boxing doesnt even try to hide its corruption / incompetence anymore. And people wonder why its a fringe sport......

Are you saying he is no longer allowed to judge the biggest fights in boxing (those that air on HBO and SHO) because he has at one time worked for HBO and SHO? It's interesting that you had nothing to say when he was judging fights for HBO PPVs last year. Maybe it is you who has an agenda?

if he was still on the payroll it would be a conflict of interest for sure, but he's not. IIRC he worked for HBO, too.

Terry you make a valid point but it rings hollow when you look at Pigeons and New England's posts.

This is the same stuff you do when justifying negotiations for a fighter you like but criticizing it when its a fighter you don't.

You seem to only find conspiracy, cowardice and corruption when Haymon or a Haymon fighter is involved. The exact same thing will happen with another entity or a non Haymon employed/associated fighter and you either ignore it or don't see it so negatively.

When called on this you attack the poster and claim they are defending Haymon or trying to get on the payroll etc.

This more than just bias on your part. It feels personal.

Yes because Maweather promotions totally helped Badou Jack get decisions go his way didn't they?

good time to bump this, considering steve weisfeld gave danny 2 of the first 9 rounds, which is absurd. Yes, how is steve weisfeld allowed to score an hbo ppv fight

he shouldnt be. Period. The NYSE should have appointed someone else.

He's a joke of a judge and has been for a while. Time to breath new blood into judging, I'm sure there's plenty young judges out there that can score better than him & his peers.

when I made the post about Weisfeld and Showtime, I had mixed Weisfeld up with Farhood. Weisfeld never actually worked for Showtime, so my critique after the Broner fight was unwarranted.

But the principle absolutely still stands, and tonite is a perfect example. Weisfeld should NOT have been judging tonites fight. An ex-HBO employee judging a fight involving one of HBOs top fighters??? On what planet is that a good look? The NYSAC should have known better.....

Jacobs could beat Cancer, but he couldn't beat the judges, another disgusting robbery in boxing. The fix was in.
