AMIR KHAN’S dad Shah has blasted claims that his son broke both hands in Saturday night’s hammering of Carlos Molina.
Rumours circulated that Bolton bruiser Khan had suffered the injuries during the fight in Los Angeles and that his next outing — in April — was in doubt.
But his dad Shah insisted: “The claims are complete and utter rubbish.
“After Amir beat Molina there was some swelling but at no time did we suspect anything was broken. Just to make certain he went to hospital to see the specialist and they gave him the all-clear.
“If a boxer doesn’t finish a bout with bruised hands then he probably hasn’t thrown any punches — and Amir landed a lot against Molina.”
Khan WILL be back in action on April 13 — possibly against Victor Ortiz.
