I've listened to interviews with guys like Chris Byrd where the interviewer has asked him how he could have signed with King knowing everything he had done to his fighters. And he just said it's a whole different thing when you're in a room with him. Everything he says makes sense.
King is a combination of naturally gifted salesmanship and a sociopathic disregard for other people. He's a criminal to his fingertips and boxing is the place he found to exploit his skills.
