Idk how you police something like whos training right & whos not outside of them admitting it. And if that was how boxing worked guys would just lie & say it wasnt true to avoid losing money.

I wouldnt be against it if you could police it in a way that was reasonable doe.

No, because some guys use "I didn't train" as an excuse because it's easier than saying "I tried but wasn't good enough". It's more common than you think. Teddy Atlas has told stories about it.

Guttierez comes in 14 pounds over weight last week
Itís fughin embarrassing for the sport and quite sad for whoís gotta watch it or go through it
Everybody laughs and wtv about UFC but they got divisions , hardly never see people completely over weight or out of shape ( many mismatches lol )
In fairness I do think there is some justice with guys like Andy. While hes not losing any money from Saturday for his effort he did lose more future money then he made last night. First off if he had won he'd likely have secured a career best undisputed championship fight vs the Wilder vs Fury 2 winner. And I think his unprofessionalism cost him money for just not losing in a more respectable way. Only the dummies would have disappointment with Andy today if he had given a legit effort to win & come up short.

I was trying to voice this in a thread about Ruiz not training but I forgot where I'd heard the story.

Though it wouldn't be possible to police realistically like others said at least they couldn't use that excuse anymore or risk financial loss.

Yes , without doubt the man fughed himself hard
But what about that fan who has to see him come in to the weigh in and then have to hear he didnít train and etc etc
This would be a little hard to actually say did he or didnít he
But look last week with Gutturiez who came in 14 pounds overweight
Itís a fughin slap in the face to the fan first and then the sport itself
Arum threw him out , which is a start but if you hurt them in the pocket , I can guarantee weíll see less and less bullchit like that

Like I said I think they do get hurt in the pocket...its just not immediate.

And I dont really understand how you could police this either like I also mentioned. There are already punishments in fines & suspensions for coming in over weight in divisions with weight limits. Being that HW doesnt have a limit idk how you do much there unless you create a weight limit which I am actually for. I think boxing should have the same 265lb limit that MMA does. But w/o a limit what would we be punishing people for at HW? Saying the magic words of "I didnt train"? Wouldnt guys just quit saying those magic words if thats how it worked? Do you give HWs a goal weight range for a fight even if we dont have an official weight limit & if you come in over you get punished? I just dont see how this would work that makes much sense & would be productive to the end of getting guys to take training seriously.

I wonder if he told his close friends and the Cartel lol that he didnt train and to not bet on him?

Thats my question... Did he tell his family members and friends in the city to not bet half their life savings on him cuz he knew he was too comfortable to take training camp serious???

If not he a real POS....

From the pics Ive seen it seems like he partied for 3mos then got in shape in training camp & then sometime between being in shape during his camp & the weigh in went on a buffet bar crawl in Vegas or some sh^t.

He for sure got into better shape post-3mo celebration time.

But to TS... U can't do that, he still came to fight not like he took complete dive.

Plus what about the guys who don't train but still win should they be punished too for being arrogant?

Like I said this falls back on his family, supporters and his career!
