didn't even get to the end of the thread and people are still discrediting mayweather.
Mayweather has great footwork, Loma's is flashier.
Loma lost , mayweather never did. /s
also people need to stop with this race ****, but it is true. However, over here in the UK this **** could never fly, if you can fight you can fight and the whole country will get behind you. America need to get with the times. Shi* the whole of the US got behind Mcgregor to lose. Remember when none of you were behind your boy Tim Bradley and rode Pac-man?

All I know is that suddenly the same cats who spent years downplaying the way Floyd dominated JMM are now arguing Rigo was a great win for Loma

There hasn't been a single big Slavic draw in the USA. Americans weren't interested in having Klitschko fight there and they never hyped him but rather downplayed his abilities.
Lomachenko gets the credit because he beat solid fighters and looked great while doing it, displaying some things that we have never seen before on top of a great amateur career. Floyd didn't have as exciting style and didn't win a gold medal.
The main reason why you’ve never seen any Slavs promoted in the States is because there really haven’t been many popular ones to start with. White skin isn’t an automatic hit, and black skin isn’t an automatic miss either. What makes a real star is personality. People have got to be able to embrace you. For white America, the people in control, that means someone they can relate to. They don’t like someone too ethnic, unless they’re really lovable. They’ll embrace a black star, but they can’t be “too black.” The same goes with European fighters. Then again, if you’re good enough, you can blaze your own trail, like Floyd Mayweather.
This discussion doesn’t have the same meaning it once did. Boxing just isn’t as popular in the US as it once was. It’s not just that America doesn’t care so much about Vasyl Lomachenko, it’s more accurate to say that America just doesn’t care so much about boxing.

If you're a real Slav you'll never be popular in the USA. It's just a totally different culture.
If Wladimir Klitschko wasn't able to be popular in the USA no Slavic person ever will.

Danny Thomas was a very popular television personality back in the fifties. Although born in Detroit, his birth name was Amos Muzyad Yakhoob Kairouz. His parents were Lebanese immigrants. Desi Arnaz was also very popular in the fifties, although he was Cuban and had a very distinctive Spanish accent. Both men were extremely successful and well-loved by American audiences. This was a time of great racism in America, yet these men did quite well. What made this possible, in my opinion, is they both had warm, lovable personalities. They were also very funny guys. This tends to win fans.
Nobody loves you for simply being black, white, Slav, Irish, whatever. There are certain things that win people over, and certain things that turn them off, regardless of background.
