I'm telling you guys, this may very well end up a cherry pick gone wrong. The diva is ALWAYS fighting smaller opposition, ALWAYS. This is the first fight in her entire career where not only is she the smaller boxer, she is MUCH SMALLER. Chumpez has the height, reach, and power advantage over the diva.

Canelo has been rehydrating to low 170s while fighting at 154 3 years ago. Logically, he's been around 175 in his last 2-3 fights while fighting at 154/155. With this fight taking place at 164, Canelo is going to be at LEAST 180 on fight night - especially since he's moving to 160 after this fight (according to him).

Chavez is taller, but he wont be bigger, and he'll be weight drained. Once May 6th comes around and they step into the ring, there will be a lot of "holy **** Canelo is huge" reactions.

same thing. chavez was popped for diuretics, iirc. the guy is not a middleweight. he's a LHW or a cruiswerweight who uses drugs and sheds a ton of weight, then balloons back up to CW size on fight night. he is the biggest "MW" i have ever seen. that guy is absolutely enormous.


this will honestlt be a fight simply because of the size advantage. expect chavez to take a beating, too, because his chin's decent as long as he' still got it. canelo has too much skill, doe. way too miuch skill. canelo is a solid offensive fighter. his only problem is footspeed, and it's the only reason this fight will be exciting. vanelo does't have the footspeed to give chavez problems running away, so he'll have to give hiim something to think about when he gets aggressive.

delusions. chavez is bigger than canelo in every sense of the word. canelo's last fight was at 55. jr is going to be lucky to make weight 10 lbs above that. what's as important as fight night weight is how you got there. JR is probably going to **** liquid with some memo shakes, and then balloon his way up another 15-20 lbs in 30 hours.

Canelo will be close to 180 on fight night, same as Chavez.

Also Canelo will be on so many PEDs that his punching power might be much greater than Chavez's. Same for his punch resistance.

I agree with you. Chavez jr is known for rehydrating 20 pounds but so is Canelo.

Plus Chavez jr might be afraid of not making weight and come a bit weaker this time.

You fools are tripping if you believe Chavez bigger size will benefit him.. if anything it makes him a bigger target!! He's only here to collect a paycheck. Probably the only boxer alive that is serious when it comes to really wanting to fight GGG, he'll fight him and have an agreement with his corner to throw in the towel half way through the fight if and when he starts getting beat up. He'll gain fans in the process and will be right when he says that he was the only boxer with the "Balls" to do it!
