Golden Boy Promotions has shown a willingness to put there fighters out there. Look how fast they put Lemieux in with GGG to get a unification fight or all the tough fights they put Vargas in back to back to back.

Jo Jo Diaz needs to fight Gary Russell Jr. to truly see how good he is.

The question will be will Gary be wiling to fight Jo Jo Diaz who doesn't yet bring the money to the table that Frampton, Mares, or Santa Cruz bring??

Hopefully this happens and there's no interim title fight.

Jojo has been pretty vocal about fighting Russel Jr. He just fought too and he said he’s ready for the fight. It’s on inactive Gary tbh he’s talking about tune ups and how he needa fight cause of ring rust when all he’s been doing for like damn near 3 years I’d fight one bum a year.
