Outsourcing and the unchecked influx of cheap, illegal immigrant labor has destroyed the American middle class.

I don't think it was done accidentally either. Regardless of which political party has been in charge there has been a united front in support of more free trade agreements and in support of never doing anything meaningful about illegal immigration.
