Thank You to Loma, for calling this tactic out!
Depends whose list of rules you read.

For instance, the NSAC does not actually have a rule against bending at the waist.

It's one of those traditional inclusions from the Queensbury rules that most athletic commissions / refs don't seem to care too much about.

Bending below the knee with the shoulder roll is 50% of Mayweathers defence, its how he made Pacquiao miss so easily when they actually got close enough to let go his flurries

Referees ignore it because FM does it in every fight and so often, its part of his style

Bending BELOW the waist is a foul, however bending at the waist isn't. There's a difference.

That **** cost Sergio Martinez the W against Kermit Cintron. With more refs would call it out.

The best thing to happen to Loma for his career was that early Salido loss, now he knows not to be some 'be humble' pushover and will rightly complain to the ref and make it apparent that his opponent is fouling / cheating.

Even the aggression after the headlock Rigo had him in and he gave one back - despite being after the bell and possibly incurring a point deduction if the ref was really determined.

As they say - nice guys finish last. Loma learned his lesson the hard way
