I already canceled Showtime there is basically no point to keeping it if you are boxing fan. They went from being neck and neck for #1 provider in boxing for years. Right now let's be honest they are the clear 4th best network provider of boxing. DAZN, ESPN, FOX, FS1 all provide way more boxing then Showtime. Look at how few cards they have even had so far this year and we are almost into June. And if they do get another big fight it will likely be on Showtime PPV anyway. PBC sending damn near all their fights to FOX/FS1 or FOX PPV that gutted Showtime's roster and boxing lineup. And DAZN and ESPN scooped up so many fighters and fights. It just doesn't make sense for Showtime to spend all that money for the little fights they get and they drawing less then half the ratings HBO got last year.

It said Showtime is 3rd to Dazn lmao!

Eddie Hearns best friend owns this website.

Eddie better watch himself. Slander and defamation are real in business in this country.

Haymon does not need to sell. He has revenue streams coming in. What he needs to do is start telling his fighters they need to fight this guy and that guy without breaking the bank. If they refuse then release them.

This shit is all gossip, rumor and innuendo. There's no validity to any of these claims non whatsoever. If CBS was indeed leaving the boxing business then why did they give Al Haymon a three year contract extension worth about $180 mil last year?

In addition, I don't believe that Al Haymon had to foot the bill for that Showtime World Championship fight card either. That money came straight out of CBS's own budget.

They have a vested interest in keeping Deontay Wilder on their network. So for a promoter to pay $10 mil out of his own pocket for a non pay per view event; Is absurd. Please let's get real here.

This article was designed as an obvious attempt at disseminating false propaganda against Al Haymon in order to undermine and discredit him. It comes with the territory when you are on top of the food chain. People are often envious and jealous of you.

Showtime costs what 10-15 bucks a month? And look at how little the boxing content you getting. DAZN costs 99 bucks the entire year basically 8 bucks a month and you getting literally 3-4X the amount of boxing content, and 3 of the top boxing stars in boxing all there and no PPV additional costs no monthly cable bundle needed. FOX and FS1 got double the boxing content and it's either free (FOX) or part of your monthly cable bundle. ESPN and ESPN+ got 3X the boxing content ESPN part of your monthly cable bundle, ESPN+ additional 5 bucks a month. It's hard to justify spending any money on Showtime when there are 3 better options for more and better fights.

Either Showtime had to spend 10M of their entire year boxing budget just to pay Wilder to stop him from leaving to DAZN or Haymon had to pay out of his pocket the 10M. If showtime had to pay it then you talking 1/3 or 1/5 (if Showtime's budget is 30M or 50M) of their entire year budget for 1 terrible fight

All the lawsuits were thrown out of court.

                  This is all BS.

The Waddle & Reed investment was less than 1% of the entire investment holding that company has.

Think they are forcing a sale because the lawsuits were dismissed.

I hope whoever is feeding these lies is sued for everything they have.

The writer is wrong Showtime is actually 4th to DAZN, ESPN and FOX/FS1. DAZN alone this month had
                      Canelo/Jacobs
                      WBSS Taylor/Baranchyk
                      WBSS Inoue/Rodriguez
                      Estrada/SRR 2
                      Roman/Doheny

And this isn't even all the fights and cards DAZN has had the last month.

next week you got Devin Haney card. The week after that you got Joshua/Ruiz the week after that you got GGG fight. After that you got the WBSS Cruiserweight Semi finals. week after that you got Cancio/Machado rematch, week after that Andrade fighting. It's not even a comparison to what Showtime is giving in terms of quantity or quality. DAZN has lapped Showtime that's not even a debate right now. That's not even all the boxing DAZN has lined up but that's up until June 29.

Meanwhile as of right now the next Showtime boxing card isn't until the end of NEXT month June 29 lol
