  • MMA Pound 4 Pound new list!!!

there are some undoubtedly superb fighters out there, and to be honest it is very difficult to pick a top ten, because every time you think you have it about right, you think of someone else to include. There are many i have missed out of course, but for me in my opinion these are the top ten in my eye's.

    1) G.St Pierre
    2) Fedor Emelianenko
    3) Anderson Silva
    4) BJ Penn
    5) Urijah Faber
    6) Cung Le
    7) Dean Lister
    8) Norifumi Yamamoto
    9) Thiago Alves
    10) Randy Cotoure

Honourable mentions to :Matt Hughes, Sean Sherk, Kenny Florian, Forest griffin and i have to say what a fight off Brock lesnar i still cant beleive the power and speed of the guy, and for that reason alone i am including him here, he is the harest puncher in the bussiness.

Hell, im french canadian and i would never pick GSP as #1 p4p, not yet anyway.

For me it would go like this:

    1-Fedor Emilianenko
    2-Anderson Silva
    3-George St-pierre
    4-BJ Penn
    5-Randy Couture
    8-Mauricio Rua
    6-Urijah Faber
    7-Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
    9-Cung Lee
    10-Dan Henderson

Thats a better list, but Rua must have lost his place after his loss to Forrest.

Anderson Silva is on top of the list IMO.

The only glaring problem with either list is Cung Le. I like Cung and all, but top 10 p4p? I have trouble putting him in the Top 10 at middleweight. He has fought low tier opponents other than Shamrock who I don't consider a top 10 MW either. Gomi or Alverez would have been more logical entries, but that is just my humble opinion.

Bisping hasn't beaten even a top 25 middleweight. His win over Hammil, his only quality win, was a robbery as well.

Cung Le has no place on these lists either, he's beaten no one of significance.

My pound for pound top 10 would be.

                  1) Fedor Emelianenko
                  2) Georges St.Pierre
                  3) Anderson Silva
                  4) BJ Penn
                  5) Miguel Torres
                  6) Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
                  7) Urijah Faber
                  8) Kid Yamamoto
                  9) Forrest Griffin
                  10)Lyoto Machida
