I don't think they do that anymore. They do have a lot more free music acts doe. Fremont Street gots 3-4+ bands/DJ's every night of the week (if you get a chance to see Zowie Bowie check them out, fun group, I usually like to check them out at least once a month on the strip, they do paid shows at one of the casinos too, not sure how much different that version is then this one). New York New York gots a band they put out Thursday thru Saturday iirc or something like that.

But yea if you like music & aren't a music snob about it you can just have a great time listening to a bunch of live bands on Fremont Street while getting drunk & high as f#ck your whole time here.

Obviously drinking. Strip clubs. I believe Mayweather has a strip club. It's owned by Mayweather, so it has to be classy.
Been by it, but never in it. Its in a part of time where I suspect they find a dead body in the dumpster about once a month, but the reviewers are solid for his place + I believe they got the best food of a strip club...although in fairness idk if thats a coveted or highly competitive strip club perk.

Lots of clubs. The pools are cool. All the alcohol you can possibly want and free if you're gambling. There's a saying about Vegas, "Smoking inside and drinking outside? I must be in Vegas!"
It seems like there is a lot less smoking inside here than when I was last here. There are a few places still doing it old school, but the tides have turned with smoking indoors.

Go to the neon light museum, go see 7 magic mountain. See the Hoover dam. Into that tv show pawn star? Go see the actual store it's only a bus ride away from the strip.
That Neon Light museum gets a lot of hype & people who dig it. Definitely seems like something worth checking out. Heard you wanna go at night doe, althought that maybe obviously. But like the late late tour they do.

That Pawn Stars store is packed a lot of time. They got a lil mini mall type deal next to it now too. Got some karoke show that gets a lil wild sometimes I heard.

Oh & that reminds me with live music again. The Piano Bar at Harrahs is pretty fun. They do a karoke show thats really fun + have a few different piano teams.

There are a ton of clubs here, but not much of a club guy so can't yay or nah them so much.

Concerts is another good thing to do in Vegas. There is idk how many concerts going on a night. EVERYONE is here or about to come here. Old people, new people, hottest people. All of it. Whatever you're into.

If you aren't using AirBnB in 2018 idk wtf you are doing with your life.

Some great deals on there & lotsa places are literally down the street from the strip. Downtown area is a lil more sketchy outside of the casinos so idk that I'd recommend downtown as much as the strip & areas close to the strip.

Although in fairness sketchiness is always right around the corner off the major beating paths, as far as noobs see it, if you are walking, which I am a fan of doing more than ubering walking distances.

Man. That really disappoints me. The Vegas I once knew is gone. It's like Robert De Niro's monologue at the end of Casino.

You can find a hotel for pretty cheap just a 5 min walk from the strip. As far as Vegas goes, anything off of the strip is a lot cheaper. Obviously the hotel won't be as nice. It will be a lot less crowded however. It's a little bit more of an inconvenience as you're not right at the casino.

Although I think there are a few hotels off of the strip that have small casinos. Probably have good deals too, like $1 blackjack.

I forget what casino I went to with my dad. It was across the street from the Rio. I think they had $1 blackjack. I think I was up around $50 over there.

                Gamble all your money away.
Sell your watch and go back to the tables.
Hit it big...get drunk and marry a hooker.
                Viva Las Vegas.

Lol. Last time I was in Vegas, I didn't feel like gambling or drinking, so I went out for a run. I ran off the strip to avoid the crowds. I went off to the West. Before I knew it, I couldn't see the strip anymore and I had no idea where the hell I was and this was back in the day where I was rocking the IPod Nano for music, so I didn't have my cell on me. I was lost. I was in a ****ty neighborhood too. Took me about an hour to find my way back.

Why the fu*k I decided to go running in Vegas is beyond me.

Honestly? Nah. I mean if you wanna stay at one of the Hostel's I think thats the best bet for cheap, but you are rooming with a few ppl. AirBnb is all up in Vegas. Plenty of great AirBnb options in beautiful houses with pools in nice neighborhoods. You might get robbed or find a dead homeless person trying to find the off strip deals lol.

And honestly they are all dumps & overpriced too. Meanwhile AirBnb will give you great value. I was staying at a place for a few months that was right down the street from Palms, Rio & the Gold Coast on Flamingo + a $2 bus ride to the strip for $150/week. Beautiful home with a pool, all the "regular" non-200% mark up grocery stores + restaurants within walking distance.

If you are staying any length of time AirBnb is FOR SURE the way to go, but even if you are just doing a weekend I think as long as you do some solid research (airbnb doesn't say EXACTLY where a place is til you purchase the place, but you can still ask & gauge better how close/reasonable a distance from the strip it is).

Although I think there are a few hotels off of the strip that have small casinos. Probably have good deals too, like $1 blackjack.
LOL you ain't been in awhile have you?

A lot of the 99cent shrimp ****tail kinda sh^t that was here the first time I came is gone. This is the snowflake era of Vegas.

There are a few things like that, but mostly its gone. And in general you get what you pay for with these casino hotels. Sometimes, rarely, you can find a good deal. Or if you eff with comps, I don't, then I've heard there are deals to be had but largely they are all overpriced for the quality (unless they upgrade you, I don't do the $20 trick, but I've gotten random upgrades a few times & then you are like "well f#ck me this ain't bad" cuz know you got a view of something other than the air conditioning unit for the hotel or the parking lot & maybe a jacuzzi.
