  • Should Vitali Klitschko Come Out of Retirement To Fight Anthony Joshua?

In a recent interview during the Joshua vs Klitschko fight week, Vitali Klitschko said he might still come out of retirement if the opportunity to rematch Lennox Lewis came up. Through their careers there have been times where the Klistchko's fought each other's opponents after suffering a defeat. For example Vitali fought Purity and Sanders after they defeated Wlad, And Wlad fought Byrd after he defeated Vitali.

Known to still train up to 3 hours per day, have the stars aligned for Vitali to fight Joshua in a dramatic return to the ring?

He would be a punching bag at this point.

Dude looked shot against Charr and Chisora.

In his prime though he would do Anthony Joshua in the mid rounds

Lewis hasn't fought in almost 15 years. There's no way he'd fight again so I don't know why Vitali would've brought that up.

            Absolutely not.
He's not fought in about 5 yrs and looked horrible for the last few yrs he was active. Not to mention he's 43-44 now and injury prone.

You do realize that Vitali will be 46 in July, don't you?

I voted no he should not come back. Nobody can avenge another man's defeat. Vitali could KO AJ in the first round and it still wouldn't make AJ's win over Wlad go away. Wlad fought Byrd because they were both high ranked heavyweights. Wlad didn't fight Byrd to avenge Vitali's loss to Byrd. That had nothing to do with it. Vitali was easily beating Byrd when he injured his shoulder. He quit the fight when he was way ahead on points to prevent more serious damage to his shoulder. Vitali could have easily defeated Byrd in a rematch. He didn't need Wlad to beat Byrd for him as you apparently are trying to say. It wasn't like that at all.

V.klitchko would pose more threats than anyone hes scheduled to fight if he trained 6 months...maybe a tune up fight?/ LOL at everyone who voted No.....It would maybe be a one sided fight but Vitali can bring it with his style and maybe cause some ripples one more time.He has power/ring Iq ( maybe the best) and size...did we forget already age is a number after Sat.??SMH
