"slave" doesnt only apply to picking cotton 200 years ago. sht in some states the minimum wage is $7.25, I'd say that's slavery too. these workers need to all stop showing up to work at once. they can't fire everybody. or just keep faking being sick like thousands are doing now.

It kind of seems like living conditions for slaves has improved, but they (we) are still slaves. The plantation owners are the rich owners and CEOs now. The slaves now get their own living quarters and stuff, but still have to wake up every day and go do someone else's bidding for enough money to survive and not much more.

Yes! If a President veto's a bill the Senate and House can override the veto with a 2/3 vote in the Senate and House. The House passed a bill that the Senate passed with 90 votes (well over the 2/3 threshold) the Senate passed the bill last year after Trump told him he would sign it. Then he changed his mind. So the House ok up the bill and passed it and sent it back over to the Senate and Mitch McConnell is refusing to vote on the bill again. This whole thing coulda been over if our Congress would do their job, which is to act as a check and balance on the President. The constitution was written to stop one man from doing things like this. But as long as his fellow Republicans in the Senate continue to choose their party over their constitutional duty this will continue to happen.
