    If all those punches landed on Canelo then he wouldn't make it all the way to the 12th round.

      You're absolutely right. Because even though Canelo landed those hollywood punches he didn't land them enough.

          seemed like next time ggg shouldn't throw the jab and nobody is scoring it.

          divide the jabs by 3 and make them power punches. 8-)

            yeah Canelo flat out made GGG miss and miss a lot and badly. And most of the times he did land were grazing shots or pawing. The stat I keep going back to is the power punches Canelo the smaller man landed more for the fight but more importantly outlanded GGG in power punches in 7 of the 12 rounds. He also outlanded GGG in body shots. So basically all GGG outlanded Canelo with is jabs most of which were blocked, hit gloves and arms or grazed. When he tried to land anything big he couldn't and missed. Canelo by far landed the clean hard shots. I can only think of 1 big shot GGG landed all night while Canelo had GGG head looking like it was going to rip off his neck numerous times. GGG face was more marked up because of the power shots and clean shots. I can't give GGG credit for pressure when so much of it was ineffective pressure. You look at the photo gallery of the fight or the gifs that have been released so and they all favor Canelo and show just how badly GGG was missing and getting hit clean.

              Canelo landed the cleaner, harder punches. But if you were rooting for GGG you will dismiss those things and "willfully" not see those punches landing on Canelo's gloves and glancing blows. The guy that moved up in weight was landing more power punches. BUT you guys would have more credibility if in fights before this one you were yelling about compu-box was not credible, then you come back referencing compu-box as the bible. Be consistent with your bs.

                A winner is actually determined by a fighter winning more 3 minute frames than the other, not how much punishment a guy took. You could deal a guy more punishment in 4 rounds than he could deal you in 8, and still lose a fight. Fighting is a part of boxing, but boxing encompasses much more than "Fighter A hit Fighter B more times so he wins."

                People need to learn to score more than punches thrown/landed. I say this as a person who saw Golovkin winning.
