I used to really root for this guy when he was up and coming. He had a good run against Barrera, Kotelnik, Maidana, Malignaggi and Zab.
He certainly looked like the next big thing in most of those moments. Barely losing rounds.
Everything changed though when he started running his mouth, coupled with mediocre ring performances not even close to backing them up. The likeable things about him, speed, heart etc, soon got totally outweighed by his delusions of grandeur up to a point it's so easy to hate him and root for him to get KOed every outing. Until now it is truly a wonder why and how the few fans he's had left can put up with it.
"I could've taken him out any time out there had I put my feet on the gas. But well I needed them rounds" Amir Khan on his performance against Vargas. That is just Khan being Khan.
