Maidana's team should completely cut off all communication with TMT after the commission approves the MX gloves. Just grab the gloves and bounce. Don't even pay any attention whatsoever to the crying. That takes care of the situation completely. Then Floyd would have to come up with something to not get in the ring, to not be in breach of contract. Like fainting in the dressing room or something.
On another note, I have a hard time believing that the glove situation was not covered before the contracts were signed. We'll see.

I would think the glove situation is already set and anything we hear about right before the fight will be to hype the fight. Floyd will make sure every advantage is his and that includes a pro Floyd ref as well as not letting Chino use punchers gloves. This fight is going to be a joke and Floyd will win a UD.
