Amir's fears as horror typhoon hits Philippines hotel
BOXING hero Amir Khan last night told how he feared he would die in a hotel as it was hit by a 160mph typhoon.
The world champion is training in the Philippines and said the storm rocked the building.
Amir, 23, added: "The winds are really loud - I thought the buildings were going to fall.
"It won't stop raining and they're expecting it to get worse. You cannot get food - we had to go to another hotel to get some.
"People are not allowed to go out."
Khan, of Bolton, hopes to move from his mountain base in Baguio City to Manila "where it's a bit safer" as he prepares for a December bout.
Ten people in the Asian country have died due to super-typhoon Megi.
It is heading to China where 140,000 people have been evacuated.
