Ref was awful, but Hatton was still all over him and doin some good work. Hard to take away Hatton's shine on that win when KT surrendered.

Tszyu's problem was that he started to break down and get injury prone causing him to be inactive...which led to declined attributes in speed, agility, combination punching/skill...and even stamina. Hatton went in there knowing all this and had the perfect game-plan: wrestle the Old Man to death and tire him out in order to zap his strength. Plus, having it in England was a great idea because of the fight-time morning hours which is easier for a young lad to handle than a Family Man that has his bed time set.

In the end, Tszyu should have been prepared for everything and he wasn't. Sucks, but that is the way it is. Hatton shouldn't have been able to wrestle him to wear him out, but it was in England and that was Hatton's only chance. Hell, even with all that wrestling and Tszyu breathing through his mouth by the mid-rounds, he still kept it close.

If they had to actually "box" by the rules, and it was in the States, even that version of Tszyu picks him apart. I noticed the left-hook kept hitting Hatton as he came in and Hatton would hold right after.

If that was a younger Tszyu, forget it. He would have been healthy enough to chuck Hatton off him and throw combinations and move out of the way. Tszyu became to reliable on setting up his right hand instead of throwing in combos and moving around.

And then you have the weight-issue: Tszyu said he felt "flat" and that could be a direct result of everything mentioned above about weight, inactivity, age, and having a tough time making weight in England which was the rumor leading up to the fight......and proved true with his failed first attempt at making weight and looking ill on the scales; much more than before.
If you feel "flat," your strength is decreased and so is your stamina.
      Great answer.

but dont forget he had absorbed a hard low blow a round before ...
that would be like letting judah have a win over mayweather
when he hit him low and mayweather complained and the fight
          was stopped ....

Hey, you forgot Hatton took one of his arms, making him a one handed fighter.

Clinching tires opponents out, Clinching also = cheating. Did you know some refs dq fighters for rough tactics.

Maybe, the referee let Hatton get away with a lot of rough stuff in there. Very weird considering how quick British refs are to stop that kind of stuff.
